Balance Wholefoods was established by us – Kate and Collette! We have been friends for over 2 decades after meeting through our mutual love of animals.
We both independently transitioned to veganism whilst in our late teens and have watched through the years how mainstream it has now become! We are passionate about veganism and are happy to answer any questions, point you in the direction of vegan swaps or recommend all the best places for vegan food in and around Merseyside.
A new chapter began for us when we opened in September 2017. Balance was a hope, a dream (that was talked about over many cups of coffee!), but with a huge amount of encouragement and support from our amazing friends and family, it became a reality! We are so proud of our little shop, it is full of vegan goodies and we are always on the lookout for new and exciting products.

Outside of work we both love yoga and practice at home as much as we can. We embrace the calm and positive mind set yoga creates and teaches you to believe in yourself, which all became a part of helping us to open Balance!
We enjoy eating out, especially trying all the new and exciting vegan eateries that are now booming all around our town!
We both absolutely adore our four legged besties! Collette has 1 dog and 3 cats. Kate has 2 dogs. You may well see the dogs in and around the shop, so keep a look out for Connie, Poppy and Tillie.
